Former President Bush Admired, Learned from Reagan
"Both Presidents Bush learned a lot from Ronald Reagan."

So said former President Bush while answering questions about his reaction to the death of Ronald Reagan.

"I learned a lot about how one conducts oneself in the highest office in the land," Bush said

Bush added that he admired "How [Reagan] adhered to a principle, and the way he fought for those principles ..." He used Reagan's relationship with former Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill, with whom was friends, and with whom he had differences, but Bush said they "remained great friends" despite it all.

Bush said his first recollection of meeting Ronald Reagan was when he was the chairman of the RNC in 1973 or 1974, and Reagan was the Governor of California, but he they didn't get close. "He was the big star of the GOP," Bush said.

He commented on Nancy Reagan, and how she is feeling: "We called Nancy just before he passed away ... she was strained ... she made clear to us that his death was imminent.

Bush said “she was sad and burdened … she has been a wonderful friend and wife.”

"Reagan would say he was proud to be able to serve his country, but history will give him great credit for standing for his principles," and for being able to take a stand "and do it without bitterness or creating enmity in other people."

Barbara Bush added her comments, saying, "I don't think I've ever know anyone who was so innately polite." She says Nancy should be proud of her husband, and knows the Bushes love them both.

capitalism is a concept not understood by liberals.

I see..........a significant sign of capitalism is running up budget deficits. What idiot prince taught you all that was the way to go? Oh wait, are his initials GWB?

Your buddy Kerry wants to add 50c a gallon tax to it. What a hypocrite.

That would look like hypocrisy to you given your rather weak understanding of economic theory[see your first comment].

You all give away your lack of kmowledge by the quality of your comments and questions.

How's Hillary Soros doing?

This is too hilarious......you make fun of a very successful senator and a very successful businessman, both of whom can run circles around your president.

Stupid is as stupid does!
