FDR was a wartime President and defeated a world threat. Reagan was a peacetime President who defeated the soviet union. No difference. It takes money to fight wars and defeat enemies.

FDR was president for TWO WHOLE TERMS before WW2.
What did he do to prevent it during those
TWO WHOLE TERMS?

FDR may have "fought" the Great Depression,
but he wasn't really successful at it.
There was a second severe depression in
1937-1938 (during FDR's *second* term).
Unemployment remained extremely
high well into FDR's *third* term.
