NEW YORK (AFX) -- Bear Stearns economist David Malpass believes the U.S. economy is in a "durable accelerating expansion" that isn't dependent on fiscal and/or monetary stimulus. He thinks inflation will be mild, but sees risk to the upside. He believes demand in the economy is shifting to toward corporate spending. He added that expansion is likely to slow in 2005
