I think pride is a great thing

I guess it is just a repeat of the "this life vs next life" argument. Pride for now versus humility for later.

Here's a prideful link, that you might like:
2think.org

They done read it so in a book.

Not just a book, a good book, a book so good that they call it the good book, even though it does contain all that which the atheist link references:
amazon.com

I used to think the bible was all fairy tales, too. I only started reading it so that I could find holes in the story, and make myself feel smart. But I came to realize that it was the book that has the knowledge, and the ignorance is within me.

Not to be superciliously ad hominem, but try reading it, you can only become a better at debating it, right? Know thy enemy, right?

The search for beauty, truth, knowledge....

The desire for a world where reason and peace supplant superstition and mindless killing.

Right on. Killing in the name of religion is mindless. Mohammed is known for bringing peace to Arabia, which at the time was all warring clans. He was even a vegetarian, for crying out loud. Religious murderers need to study their texts more closely.
