Thank you Richnorth. It is pretty frustrating to see folks come on this thread and refusing to engage in fruitful discussions. Often times we end up rehashing the same things we have discussed on this board. Thanks for your patience in posting that. I thought that lorne would have known all this. We have folks on this thread harp on the fact that the oil for food was a scandal and that people who benefitted from it such as Saddam and his cronies was what got Bushies mad and hence that was one of the principal reasons for their decision to invade Iraq. I am trying to turn around and tell those folks that they need to look at the US (Halliburton scandal) first before we go around accusing others. And that is why I used the oft used phrase “the Pot calling the kettle black”. And our good friend Lorne comes back with all those questions.

So in summary I would say that if Saddam deserved to go because of the oil for food program, then it is the same scandal scenario that would require Bush and Cheney to leave office in November 2004.
