I don't own BRKA.

I would expect there would be a loss of Buffett Premium of up to 20% or more if he dies.

They do say a good team is in place to replace him but I think the stock is over valued compared to its components due to the WEB premium that I am not willing to pay.

BTW, your share scarcity theory could be used to explain the huge WEB premium it currently has. The fact is many like me often take profits after making 4x our money by selling 25% of our holdings. How do you do that with a single share of BRKA?

To me, I don't want to own stuff that has all sorts of abnormal liquidity "issues" that effect the share price, unless I think I can take advantage of them. The ONLY person on institution I see with a large advantage of the high price of BRKA is WEB as it locks in his "cult followers" such that they can't take profits. He owns the most shares so he has no incentive to even pay a dividend... since he ALREADY has the cash and can expense just about anything he wanted.

Trading Stock Splits

rightline.net

SNIP: After the last buyers have taken positions, investor interest in the stock begins to fade along with the excitement surrounding the split. Prices will often retreat as shares are sold to lock in profits. This stage frequently offers excellent shorting opportunities.
