Portfolio update - bough PCZ (Petro Canada).
One of the cheapest oil stocks, IMO. Well managed company with an underleveraged balance sheet, even after the last purchase of the North Sea oil field. Exposure to oil sand projects got me interested. I did look at the pure plays COSWF and SU also. SU seemed expensive, and COSWF has issues due to cost overuns and the foreign ownership limitations for Canadian royalty trusts.

I am long APC and PCZ and still short WTU and BPT (uhg!).

Sold my full position in ABT -
loss of patent protection for Synthroid came earlier than exected (at least for me) I also read that there are more patent exirations coming in 2005 and 2006 which will make it difficult for ABT to grow pharmaceutical revenues. i still like the stock but I think that negative earnings revisions are quite likely. i would consider to reenter at about 38$.

Still I got a decent return for my investment (including HSP spinoff proceeds). I am looking for alternative investments in pharma with better risk reward ratio. WYE and AMGN are on the top of my list right now.
