Read the speech, it's down near the end of it. Also notice how smart and insightful Kerry is about national defense.

Did Kerry write the speech?

Do you believe everything a candidate says is his personal views and words?

Ah, there's the mention of terrorist:

Yes, indeed, he mentions terrorism as something that a SDI system wouldn't prevent. Wow, that is profound, not to mention smart and insightful. Though he does throw in this in the true foragainst kerry spirit:

I support research and development of a limited missile defense system that, indeed, might have the ability to knock down one or two incoming missiles. I think it would be, in fact, a step forward for the United States to be able to at least know that we have that capacity. ...
