The U.S. does it again, a miraculous recovery

"NEW YORK (AFX) - US Treasury Secretary John Snow praised the "incredible" recovery in the US economy, with the last nine months showing "the best growth rate in over 20 years"

In the text of a speech to be given to businessmen in New York, Snow said he believes the tax cuts initiated by President George Bush, combined with a sound monetary policy, have enabled the US' very "resistant and robust" economy to achieve the "incredible" recovery and growth being witnessed at the moment

Over the last nine months, the US has seen the best economic growth rates in over 20 years, he said, with GDP posting an average year-on-year growth of 5.6 pct over the last three quarters

The rise in oil prices constitutes a new challenge for the US, Snow said, reiterating his call for the rapid adoption by Congress of an energy bill proposed by Bush that aims to cut US dependence on oil from the Middle East "

(I especially like the part about the sound monetary policy

And Greenspan spoke. I will not post this blessed event, because I fear that there are some here on this thread who will want to breathlessly examine every syllable, every letter, every inflection, in order to glean some unique insight and then inundate this thread with their findings.
