Don't compliment yourself, I'm fully aware of our long-time relationship with France & don't need your amateur lecture on it. France supported us during the Revolution for one primary reason--we were fighting their centuries-long enemy, England. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. On the contrary, the U.S. did not have a personal stake for motivation when we liberated the French from Germany. We did it because it was the right thing to do. It's a disgrace on the French, that we could not count on them to show that level of morality when we needed their help in Iraq.
