I'm very comfortable with Ollie North's actions, and with Reagan's. North is a genuine American hero, as was Reagan.

There's no point to this. Your view of "greatness" is LBJ, Clinton and Carter. Mine is Reagan and Bush. There is no reconciliation.

Bush said it well. Leadership is based on principles "etched in the soul" -- it isn't based on the latest polling results.

Are you saying the human rights of the Nicaraguans don't matter?

The human rights of the Nicaraguans are more respected now then they where under the Sandanistas.
