Teresa Heinz switched parties because of what the rightwing did to Max Cleland, John McCain and what they were about to do to her husband. The same thing creeps like Ann Corrigan do on these threads.

She could not in good conscience remain with a party which stands behind slandering our war heros. There was nothing about Kerry running that kept her from remaining a Republican, in fact that might have been an asset to John. There were quite a few Republivans at the Kerry fundraisers I was a part of.

Don't be surprised if John also goes after a GOP running mate first. McCain of course, but also Chuck Hagel, are trusted friends and allies. Kerry is not a democrats democrat, he's a uniter.
