As I watched the extensive & terrific D-Day coverage over the wkend, I became even angrier at the French for deserting us in Iraq. How could they forget all those American lives lost on Omaha Beach in a quest for their liberation?

We should have liberated the rest of Europe and permitted Germany to keep France. They have been acting more like a province of Germany recently anyway.

I was amused at the Normandy ceremonies when Pres Bush told Chirac that he was going into the crowd of American WWII veterans to shake their hands. Chirac seemed stunned at first, but then started shaking hands as well and smiling as if it was his idea in the first place.
