As usual you make good points, including the one about an anarchistic way of running the world. [Perhaps you meant anachronistic--there's a bit of a to do going on about proper spelling and such.]

But I must disagree with the notion that Usama [spelled correctly, you'll notice] and the USA people have "so much in common."

You must surely be waiting for a riposte on that point.

Mq., Usama did not go to the UN several times to get us out of Saudi Arabia before he struck embassies, a billion dollar warship, and the Twin Towers.

If he had, perhaps his motion would have received due deliberation, perhaps the French would have supported it. But he did nothing of the kind.

He [or his ilk] killed off the Spanish UN diplo who was residing in Iraq, trying to bring a bit of peace to the land. We haven't intentionally murdered any UN folks, as far as I know, and would be pilloried if we did.

Mq., we simply don't like the UN. Its muckety-mucks are proven thieves. It is a hypocritical organization, witness Sudan as the head of a human rights committee.

But we don't bomb it, and we seek its approval before we bomb someone else. So, its a charade, but at least we try.

Usama comes in the middle of the night.

There is no comparison.
