Well, we seem to use the wrong excuse for war, no matter how justified. I think GWB should have just said he was finishing the job started by GHWB and left it at that. Viet Nam was no different.

underestimating the "threat" of Iraq's "WMD".

Lots of emphasis on nuclear and missiles, but that is still of highest priority because of the potential damage.

They also had OBL pretty well figured , but more because of seeking WMD's than the use of common technology like airplanes.

Overall he seemed to do an admirable job.
