All the enemies of Christ have been subdued - they are finished.

So abolish is not literal?

Abolish:
To end the observance or effect of : ANNUL

We are still seeing the "effects" of death at this time, aren't we?

Again Brian, only you can discern when scripture is literal.

If this is the final state of perfection, God might need to rethink His choice of a perfecter.

but some things are just plainly literal if you will allow the scriptures to say what they say and forget your church dogma.

I am the not a follower of church dogma. Our discussion on believing all the bible (as in God is the Savior of all) should have made you aware of that.

When we reach the final state spoken of in 1 Corinthians 15:28, after Christ abolishes death, the ages will end and God will be All in all. He is not All in all now.

By the way, I loved your Matthew 23 dissertation. You seized upon the thing that makes you holder of truth. the thing that differentiates you from mainstream christianity. The thing that makes you and James claim to depart from the "carnal dogma of manmade doctrine". I hate to tell you this Brian, but that's an inhouse, irrelevant argument. Salvation does not depend on whether or not you believe in preterism. It's just something for some to cling to and proclaim superior spiritual wisdom over the rest.

Salvation depends completely and entirely upon God. But, you already know this.
