Just skimming that article, lies were jumping off the page at me. For example:

In 1990, Daniel Ortega, president of Nicaragua, decided to hold free elections within Nicaragua.

The Sandinistas held free elections long before that, in 1984.

news.bbc.co.uk;

The real issue is why was US law violated so that we could support the Contras against the Sandinistas. Certainly, the Sandinistas, if not better, were no worse than the regime in power before them.....which we favored.

But, of course, it wasn't concern for the Nicaraguans that motivated us. Instead, we worried that the communists would take over Nicaragua and spread north. That's why DR doesn't care that US law was violated. Just as he doesn't care that the Geneva Conventions are violated nor if we renege on international agreements or international alliances. We needed to do whatever it took to nullify this 'straw enemy' emanating from Central America.

That's the real danger of the neocons.....from Cheney on down to the DRs. They don't give a flying fukk about right or wrong but what's best for them.....not even their country.

They think they are making themselves safer with this BS but instead, the world becomes a more dangerous place for Americans with a rising hate quotient.
