The details are quite stunning.

That's the least of it.....there was a Congressional hearing on the matter... where things were considerably detailed. It was held in WI. I wish I could find the website again. I was stunned that they could have this hearing, disclose all this garbage and then do nothing more than slap the hands of the participants, one of whom was Mr. Bush Sr.

For example, the fact that we participated in chemical warfare:

According to the Washington Post, the CIA began in 1984 secretly to give Iraq intelligence that Iraq uses to "calibrate" its mustard gas attacks on Iranian troops. In August, the CIA establishes a direct Washington-Baghdad intelligence link, and for 18 months, starting in early 1985, the CIA provided Iraq with "data from sensitive U.S. satellite reconnaissance photography...to assist Iraqi bombing raids." The Post’s source said that this data was essential to Iraq’s war effort.

What's really impressive is how easily war mongers can blow this off. It doesn't faze them at all.

I don't think its just the hawks.........I really think its the American way of doing business. The Dems may do it less but they look the other way when the GOP starts playing fast and lose.

I just can't figure out what master they're serving.......the defense industry, oil industry, paranoia, God......or all of them.
