It's already about 80 degrees out there, going up to the 90's, with a heat advisory because of the humidity. Those people are going to be dropping like flies. Also, they are blocking roads and tunnels, it's going to be a traffic nightmare. Already impossible to park there.

I plan on watching on TV, might make a trip in late in the evening, but the boys have school, it's final exam time. Reagan would have preferred that they make A's. :)

When we go for Fourth of July, we park in Virginia and take the metro to the Arlington Cemetary exit, and walk across the Memorial Bridge, which ends by the Lincoln Memorial, and we watch the fireworks near the Reflecting Pool. The Capitol is all the way at the other end of the Mall, that's why I was thinking of parking at Union Station, which is about a block north of the Capitol.

Most were ferried by bus from nearby Moorpark College, where they waited in line for as long as seven hours.

I wonder long some had to wait while Kerry appeared solemn for the cameras.

What a gift - the man even looks pompous in front of a casket.
