Exactly. I still remember looking at the details of Reagan's "tax cuts" in the 80's & thinking that every time they went to reform the tax system, the little guy got screwed some more. You could see it in the details, the loss of deductions, the increase in payroll tax. All you had to do was fill out your 1040s on your own.
