Ugh! Another one of you tedious technicalities that attempts to obscure reality. The U.S. Army of 2004 not exactly the same as the U.S. Army of 2003. The U.S. Army of 2003 is not exactly the same as 2002.

Yes, the people of Nicaragua knew very well what it was like to live under Contra rule. They had experienced that for 50 years, and they didn't like it.
