"The Saudis were scared poopless...." That was the aim, no doubt.... Too bad they never stopped to consider that there were commercial vendors of satellite imagery! (It was a rather silly lie, considering how easy it was to disprove.) I think the Saudis are REALLY 'scared poopless' now, as their corrupt Kingdom stands on the brink of armed revolution over the next few years.... (Notice also how both they and the Egyptian government are distancing themselves from Bush's call at the G8 meeting for Democracy in the Middle East?) Echos of the Shah, anyone?
