Aug.15 is advancing, and the POG is going the other way. Aug. 15 is Sinclair's deadline.

"I am still married to what I said. We trade at or above $480 by August 15th 2004 or www.jsmineset.com remains only as an archive of 1500 articles on gold - all with a teaching motive."

The POG is moving against him, and if one of these "big" events don't occur before to propel gold, his site will be closed.

1) Possible Bush indictment?
2) Fannie May/Fredie Mac blow-up?

I am afraid, if I was a betting man, I would not bet on $480 gold by Aug.15

Sinclair asks a question but doesn't answer it.

"As Chairman Greenspan has said, all is perception in this economy. Well, how long can you blow hot air into a balloon that is leaking badly and call it healthy."

The answer is of course potentially forever. He may be right, and if he is, he will lose his shirt.

Oh, and he erroneously thinks debt matters. He ought to have been reading this thread. Debt is good. Debt has saved the world. Debt will not decline, because to decline would bring depression. Debt will simply keep increasing, because it can, and because of the correct US monetary policy which fuels the world economy without any consequences.

They ought to erect a monument to debt and the dollar.
