I took it one step further in '81. I lived in town and had a 100'x180' lot with a big garden. In '80 I did a lot of fishing on Lake Michigan and the guy I fished with owned a restaurant with a walk in freezer so he wanted to keep everything we caught because he had the freezer space and "people who wanted the fish".

So in '81 I get a call about 300 pounds of freezer burnt fish. I hauled them to my garden and piled them in the middle to thaw and start rotting so I could chop them up and till them in. The next day I saw a long haired white dog rolling in the pile. Never saw the dog again but I did till in the fish. And yes, I did have a great crop that year, mainly popcorn and water melons.
