So how do you answer my question, when? When is enough enough? What will trigger the shift to color blind? I genuinely don't know the answers to those questions. But I don't see that we are close enough now to worry about them. And we are doing so little to correct them that it's hardly time to stop doing that little bit. How do you measure success there? Surely not when every neighborhood is integrated. Perhaps when neighborhood segregation is deemed voluntary? Perhaps the latter. But, as always, a big part of the trick is to decide who gets to do the "deeming."
