I wonder how they count usage. So far it's .4 X .03, but what exactly is "usage". DoCoMo used to count a "user" if a sub pushed the "i" button once to see what would show up on the screen. And is it the company-subsidized "business people" who are "prepared to spend money and time downloading content to their mobiles"?

WCDMA was heavily dissed as "smoke" on this thread until about 12 months ago, with revelation of the fraud behind the curtain predicted as coming sometime in 2004.

Vodafone itself might eventually be the best yardstick, when they distribute a million handsets and report. Is it too early for credible, non-promotional evidence that WCDMA/GSM is working in Europe? (I'm basically not quite yet convinced that Ben G. was wrong.)
