I just wanted to make sure to let you know how much I appreciated the subtext to this part of your post: Indeed, many posters who share your political proclivities seek to distance themselves from you---much like those on the other side of the aisle eschew any relationship to posters like Cyberken. IOW, you're considered way "out there" even by your fellow liberals, Democrats and Kerry supporters. It is so easy or at least tempting for some to paint all Kerry supporters as "libs" or "lefties" or "elitists" or even "traitors." It is equally tempting to say that all Bush supporters are stupid, right wing, NASCAR watching, religious radicals. I know this may seem obvious. Yet, the use of these stereotypes in posts is my biggest complaint with the political discussions here on SI. BTW, I am probably guilty of doing it from time to time myself; a habit I would like to kick.
