RE: "...looking at the picture..." I look at the picture and I see very few, if any, blue collar manufacturing careers. I see a strong indication that white collar careers are following the same path and the trend is accelerating. You keep pointing to the fact that we are seeing a continuation of very old phenomena. To use a macabre analogy, with apologies, people died every year for, probably, 1000s of years in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but that didn't make the terrible catastrophe any less.
