Fact:

The draft board members said he received not special consideration.

Fact:

GWB received an honorable discharge.

End of story.

How do you know that GWB got to the front of a long waiting line? I've read that while in the Texas Air National Guard, his interceptor group did not have 100% of its pilot slots filled. A jet fighter pilot is a rather dangerous (even in peace time) appointment for someone trying to avoid active military service (especially since there was no way that GWB would have seen combat, if he were drafted - unless he asked for a combat role).

Couldn't have been as hard as Kerry getting not just one, not just two, but three purple hearts without even so much as being admitted into a hospital, then a ticket home.

Gosh, Kerry makes Bob Dole look like a wimp -- Dole got only one purple heart and spent years in the hospital.
