I don't know anyone who favors racial quotas.

Didn't want to use that expression. I was racing to get out of here to a brunch date and my aging mind wasn't coming up with anything better quickly enough. What I meant was something along the lines of proportionality. I know that the expression I used is loaded and I didn't want that. Should have saved the response for later rather than rushing.

So, where do you come down in all this?

I agree with your first three. I'm iffy on the fourth. I'd rather get the kids the hell out of there--send them to boarding school or move the family to Iowa or some such. Or not be born in the first place.

"I don't know anyone who favors racial quotas."

Just look in the mirror John! (g)
John when affirmative action is abused its the same as quotas. Once you get far afield from just breaking a tie, or considering ones background and education or lack therof as just one factor, you have slid toward the Q word. mike
