Not true. The system in Saudi has been changing over the last few years. Many of the Saudis who come for advanced degrees in America are taking MBA courses. That was very rare a decade ago. The bureaucracy in Saudi Arabia is undergoing restructuring and the techno-revolution is hot. With the improvements in communications, Saudis are very global in their afluence and attitudes. The extended family of the Saudis suck most of the resources from the state but there is a trickle down system that works to some extent. In time I expect to see some major reforms that reduce or even eliminate the Saudi family lock on resources. I would not be surprised to see a Sharia/parliament in the future, that trumps the Saudi family power structure.
