My point is that there is no reason to hoard 56 billion in cash. It's flat out stupid and about 40 billion more then necessary. Take a look at IBM, for example. They have about $9 billion in cash and are about 1/2 the market cap vs MSFT. Or GE, a larger cap vs MSFT and they have $13 billion on the balance sheet.

The size of the money is what is the real issue. It's a wasting asset. It should be put to work. Why would they need (or want) to buy SAP for all cash? Doesn't make any sense.
