Thank you for making that point. My selective perception filter is always on. Time may tell us. Although, it will be hard to reach consensus because of all the diverse versions about to be printed. I thought he looked chemically relaxed. Very chatty.

His answer on the torture: "The soldiers followed the law. We followed the law." I thought it devastating.

He's falling back on the Gonzales memo. That may be technically correct. But, Jefferson's writings on the issue may not have been considered in the Attorney General's Office. It will come out now, I think. But it's going to be hard to sugar coat for the 50%. He's going to run out of people he can fool all the time. He may make a decision for the good of the party. His Presidency looks more like Johnson than Reagan.
