Well just because you can't believe a thing, Gerry, doesn't mean it is not true. The same applies to the Christ Who you reject. Besides, I likely have a different idea than you of what a friend is. With believers, "friends" are spiritual brothers. With heathens, "friends" are lost people in whom I take an interest for the chief purpose of sharing the truth. They all know that I am out to do this. I don't hide it and neither do I insult them. But when our mutual attention turns to death and judgement, as inevitably it does, I am very clear about it. Some grow pained, some offended, and some are brought to life and become brothers. In none of it is it my task to sort out who is who here. My task is simply to get the opportunity to share and let the chips fall wherever they will. It will sound like "bs" to the condemned. But to those who are being brought to life, it will come as a solemn warning, something that ought to be seriously contemplated.
