Excellent police work.

Well, it can't hurt. vbg

What really truly troubles me if the fact that at the end of the day Islamofascism is a creature of religion, fostered and maintained by a ridiculously outdated interpretation of the Q'uran.

In order to effectively fight IslamoWacoism, we may find ourselves in the truly unenviable position of having to squelch freedom of religious expression, i.e., prohibit the teaching of jihadi doctrine in order to prevent it from devouring us.

I hope we never get to that point, but we may.

The thought scares the shit out of me as we will kill who and what we are and what we stand for if we ever conclude that doing so is the only way to fight terrorism.

And don't kid yourself, jihadi doctrines are being taught now in the US.

I doubt you're advocating armed intervention into Iran and Syria, as we did in Iraq.

It's a very very old problem, with no easy answers, and nothing I would call a "solution". Lots of human problems have no "solutions", only ways of managing them.

Israel's way of managing its problems work for Israel.

I don't agree that America needs to come to the same solutions that Israel has. In Israel, a six-mile wide nation of 12 million Jews is physically menaced by 250 million Arabs in more or less the same area, in mortal combat for the same territory.

America's contact with that same region has become closer due to globalization, but 250 million Arabs are not about to march across the Atlantic Ocean and into our homes.
