Yes, in view of The Lost Boys of Sudan, and the fact that many of them are now graduating from American high schools receiving good grades, while working, getting scholarships if possible, and hoping to finish college, it will be interesting to discuss schools, and kids, and teachers.

If these boys can do it, there should be NO reason that kids who have grown up here in the US can't do it as well, no matter their color, race, or religion.

If the problem is that we keep blacks from learning with our school system, how do you account for the success of immigrant blacks who go to K-12 here in the this country?
