what would they have to gain?

Maybe they would get to live like Americans do now. I read an article that said the world would run out of resources before the Chinese could consume like Americans. There is not enough metal to make all the cars, for example.

I realize these scenarios are unlikely, but I hate to feel as though we forgot to lock the doors before we left for Iraq.
