Well, that is because I have no respect for your petty idea of "friendship." I pointedly aim to draw people into real friendship, with me, through Christ - to share burdens and joys on that basis. It is this friendship that I set before heathens as I work with them. There are more than enough hurting and abandoned heathen wives and children in the world who, when encountering a person who is willing to show sincere interest in and loyalty to them, will trust enough to reciprocate, to work with me toward the same end. The basis of my friendship with them is obviously not the same as yours with your "friends." We are deliberately working together to become brothers, and on a basis that is more permanent, more binding than mere feelings. I have very many brothers and plenty of heathen friends.Your concept of Christianity is very different than mine. Well obviously. I am not a heathen. You are just a man whose interpretation of things could be as flawed as anyone else's. Fortunately for me I don't, unlike you, ultimately rely upon my interpretation of things to escape condemnation. What you do project in your postings is pride which is the root of all sin. It only seems this way to you because you cannot perceive the Object of my pride. In fact, it is not pride at all, but utter confidence....without such arrogant pride you wouldn't be so sure as to judge others. Well, what you see as arrogance is nothing more than confidence. You are about to fall into a pit. I see the bridge you ought to take, have walked across it myself, have shepherded my family and friends across it and now am telling you that it exists, that you are about to miss it, to take a fatal fall. In response to my confidence, you are telling me I am a fanatic, arrogant, foolish, crazy, a loony and all of the other things heathens say when believers encourage them to take the bridge. It has now gotten to the point where taking your chances with the pit is the sophisticated thing to do. You bring about your own condemnation.
