Not in a way to affect our interests in the immediate term. There were other priorities that we should be attending. Our goal should have been relentless pursuit of terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pakistan to it's credit signed up for it - only to start hoodwinking us later. If the pressure was applied Pakistan would have been with US (completely - rather than half heartedly). Neutralising OBL/AA Zawahairi as soon as possible can go a long way in slowing the terrorism breeding. Instead, in Iraq we provided them a fertile ground for recruiting more to their cause. Heck Saudi Arabia harbored many more terrorists than Iraq, actively raised funds for them.. they should have been the first ones to be dealt with.
