My reaction to the Dixie Chick affair, probably would have had the most chilling effect on them. You see I never had even heard of the Dixie Chicks before it happened. That is usually entertainers worst scenario. The only country music I appreciate is that great baseball tune "put me in coach, I'm ready to play today....look at me I can be Centerfield". My husband is a fan, but somehow never noticed the Dixie Chicks either. What I don't understand is how that group, being southerners themselves(I assume), did not realize the maelstrom of protest that would follow their juvenile antics. Hopefully, many of their fans never returned, because we don't need more Michael Jackson-like (brainless) fans in this country.
