France's faulty judgment in world events makes one wonder why they believed they had the moral authority to impose their will on other countries?

Why do you think we have the moral authority to impose our will on other countries? After all, our record has not been spotless.

That nation's track record has been rather pitiful in history books.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they are always wrong. Besides, France was just one of many countries that objected to our foray into Iraq.

Their high water mark was probably Norman, Wm the Conqueror's, defeat of England. It's been mostly downhill for them since that time.

Again, they are one of our long time allies........and they are much more substantive than the Honduras or the Czech Republic. We would not have to loan that money to get them to join a coalition. And they would bring their own money to the table.
