joser17- the stoned man called. he said 9K for the monty 8K for his wife. his wife heard him and said, "we are NOT selling the montgomery." so it looks like 17K for wife and boat... except i mentioned that the "full monty" in alaska was going for 10K and he raised the price to 10K... BUT... he said norsea still makes and sells brand new montgomery 17's for 12K. i did not know that. (johnny carson) here's the website: montgomeryboats.com BUT (another but)... mr. stoneman recommends you pick up a catalina 22. you can get some beauty's for around 5 or 6K. perfect for sitting on a trailer under the palapa and going out for sails up and down the baja. i concur... unless you are snobby about what you put under your palapa... and if so, then nothing less than a montgomery will do. <g> -lep86
