My granddaughter is quite sensitive. She lives in a flight path to a large airport and when 9/11 happened she was hiding under her bed constantly. Her parents had to be careful about what she saw on TV........they had to turn off the news for weeks. She doesn't watch much adult TV but she sometimes is in the room briefly when it's playing. She normally doesn't pay much attention to it. We did explain death simply in terms she understood and she hasn't been preoccupied with it since . She was worried that no one would be here to take care of her. She's a sweet little girl.
