thanks for your prior answers

is it true that because of lack of electricity supply that
1..people and factories use gas driven generators? and
2..that there are frequent brownouts/blackouts?

also in terms of real estate i saw a news clip where china government was selling its existing housing to the tenants for cheap but that new property is very expensive.
1... is this true?
2.. do you see a "Bubble" in real estate building there or is it really needed to accomodate all the people moving from rural to urban centers?

i've also been reading a book that states just as you have that the younger generations are not as heavy savers as the older generation and are becoming "americanized", meaning that they like to live on credit and for the moment rather than save for the future..
1.. do you see this trend to spend rather than save in the younger folks there, especially in consumer non-essential goods?
2. do you notice a lot more american retail stores popping up there?

thanks in advance for your insights

nytimes.com

interesting article about how multinationals that make factories in china use them to sell abroad but not as much to the chinese public.
seems as if the local wares are so cheap because of the lack of need for a profit and also no need to really pay back your loans, that the multinationals cant compete on price and dont want to. i think they are hoping in the future that the richer chinese will move up the value chain and buy their higher quality goods.

Don't forget to get in on some of the street cuisine near wangfujing dajie! (‰¤•{ˆä ‘åŠX ?)

Lychees can cause nosebleed? I brought some canned back recently, better not scoff all of them at once when I do open it! I really miss my 7-12$ grocery bill in Beijing, I just got out over 75$ for my first one back in the USA.
