I find that Pest patrol seem to remove all Ad-aware and Spybot stuff. ZAP which I have on most of the time stops the pop-ups. I've thought of adding the Google tool bar which has a pop-up stopper but just haven't gotten around to it.

Knock on wood - but I've never had a virus or trojan or worm - but again I'm pretty cautious - never download from email unless it's something I expect, never download P2P stuff and no free or shareware unless it's something is well documented.

As I said, the only issues I have run into are ZAP and a well documented issue with the Ameritrade streamer. It apparently treats it like a popup. I've been told that the Medved product avoids this and will probably get that fairly soon. I need to take a week off and re-vamp but I may sleep and swim instead. LOL...

Bull, I have Pest Patrol, Ad-aware, AVG and PopUp Stopper from Panicware. Also Zone Alarm. I run most of them about once per week. Some do things the others fail to do, so I would rather over-kill than not. I ran Pest Patrol on my second machine just this morning and it found 13 "pests", all of which I get rid of. I always dump everything these programs locate and have never wished I hadn't. I think the cow and a few others here have recommended all of these programs at one time or another.
