Brian, maybe it a sign of the times. I've noticed that many threads have posters who think nothing about calling a person an idiot or some other such vicious attack over a simple post. It has also become a habit of most to interrupt a conversation to call names and to post smears without ever debating the subject. I believe that the personalities drawn to these threads are those who are acting out their own personal problems that they bring to the thread with them. I have learned much from your posts and regret that we seem to be unable to post historical and factual information without being labeled as cowards, liars and bigots but that is the chance you take when you try to have an informative session. Those who guard this thread like guard dogs for the purpose of denying the truth and what is happening to America will continue to do so. I have other, more important interests than to argue and give myself heartburn when I should be doing other things. I have allowed myself to get down to their level and I don't feel so good with me about that. I'll check with you later. James

Coming at the end of a post which sanitized the idea...the very intimation is coarse and grotesque. Your present disclaimer removes some of the opprobrium due you, I suppose. But I think you fail to understand that the idea you were broaching in general is offensive to the hearts and minds of rational people. The world has had enough of accusing groups of people of being godless or satanic. Groups, at least, have some power to return prejudice and discrimination in like. But single individuals have no such remedy to the charge of being satanic. Society lived through centuries of idiocy where people were charged by cruel misfits of humanity with witchcraft, satanic collusion, heresy, and the like. Innocent individuals were drawn and quartered and burned and tortured over lesser charges than the one you sanitize. Whether you personally supported the accusation against Reagan...you apparently do not find the idea anathema to public suggestion; and that, sir, is appalling and repugnant to good taste. "Thank you for your Christian response" It wasn't such. It was a humanist response. "I am an idiot - you are a perfect gentleman" You overestimate either my birth or my bearing, I am sure.
