“I don’t think he’s created anything,” said Lonnie Steele, 57, an undecided voter from East Flat Rock, N.C. “I know a number of people who are educated people, and they are working two or three minimum-wage jobs just trying to put groceries on the table and keep their families alive.”

This says it all when you use the White House calculator to calculate the number of jobs created. This calculator needs to be put away in Gore's lock box.

That's not the case in my neighborhood. The following from a local message board:

>>The United States is not in a recession. The FORMER recessioin begain during Clinton's last year in office. Bush came into office with that little gem hanging over his head and became worse, much worse, after 9/11.
Now ALL indicators are heading up...some have been up for some time. Unemployment is down to levels that were considered "full employment" in the last administration. Millions of new jobs have been made available while unemployent rolls dwindle down.

There is no inflation to speak of... yet. Ok, gas prices are high, but did you notice they've fallen lately and most likely keep going down for a little while more.

Job creation in the manufactoring sector is going up and from all indications, way up. Plant management finally realizes the economy has been consistantly and constantly heating up and consumers are ready to buy high ticket durable good items.

Have you read the news from Iraq? Seems like the UN has announced that the WMD's have been located...or at least parts of them. Hussein dismantled the sites immediately prior to and in the early stages of the war. Some of the metal has been found in the Netherlans and in Turkey. An engine for a missle was found in the Netherlands with a UN inspections tag on it! To emphasize, this news comes from the UN.

This November, its President Bush.<<
