I'm sorry , i just distrust anything that is literally put into the mouth of Moses or any ancient date that is/was attributed to him or his existence . They are to this day still searching for that "mountain" he spoke to God on.

How does one lose an entire holy source~mountain like that ?
Never mind searching for Noah's ark ....

And I am not certain that that quote contains/intends the universal message of a more international flavor that was beginning to dawn in many places simultaneously in men's minds as they questioned the state of civilization and its mal-directions; mad tyrants & ruling elites, and inequality or injustice fears and constant violence.

There is no-one that can prove any truth to the moses' myth to my taste , other than a tribal myth of a legendary leader to which many sayings have been ascribed , and written in much, much later . I have seen many instances that suffice proof of this to my mind . But the message is good and alighting in mens imaginations in many places...as did the myth of Prometheus or Atlas. As Socrates spoke , "I am not an Athenian , I am a citizen of the world."

But one can sense the many years of being enslaved under the yoke of tyrants and for a very literate , proud and stubborn and very vocal tribes , surely this does give one the
gain of a unique perspective.

Yet certainly the pacifists of Rabbai Jesus' & Rabbai Hillel's time lost out , the fanatics and zealouts won out and got to throw themselves off the cliffs of Masada , which counts for something >?
