I purchased some CPQ shares on 8/1/1995. The price per HPQ share after CPQ stock dividends and the HPW buy out share reduction is $10.16. One of my few profitable HPQ positions.

NEW YORK, August 13 (New Ratings) – The Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ.NYS) has reportedly dismissed three key executives in its server and storage systems division, following the company's disappointing 2Q04 results announced yesterday.

Hewlett-Packard's Chief Executive Officer, Carly Florina, blamed managerial execution failures in the company's server and storage systems business for the disappointing second quarter performance. The CEO termed the company's 2Q04 earnings performance as "unacceptable," and ousted the head of the segment’s sales, Peter Blackmore, and his US and European deputies, Jim Milton and Kasper Rorsted. Hewlett-Packard's market value reportedly declined by about $8 billion yesterday, after the company witnessed its largest share price decline in the past 18 months.
