If Saddam was replaced somehow he would probably have been replaced by Uday or Usay or the Fedayeen Commander.

This would make oil dealings with Iraq even more difficult and risky than it was under Saddam. Although the US was not involved in those thinngs

If oil extraction processes and wells are not properly maintained they can suffer irreparable damage.

So its hard to picture any improvement for the oil supplies or the Iraqi citizens.

Personal income in Iraq had declined to 1/3 of what it was in 1990 and I doubt if the new leader would try to improve that.
